![]() ![]() Phone access is also quicker for the same reason.Mozilla Thunderbird® is one of the major alternatives to Microsoft’s email applications and PIM tools. That way, my email is still as easily accessible if I need it, but when new mail is either received or sent, TB only works with lightweight folders. In my case, every 6 months, I transfer mail that is at least 6 months old from Inbox to Inbox 2015-2020, Office to Office 2015-2020 and Sent to Sent 2015-2020. Depending on how much mail you receive and how long you need it, archive every 3 to 6 months. Make them as small as possible by archiving emails in other folders. Thunderbird seems to be the biggest culprit, so that's why I asked. But, it's getting long in the tooth (even though it is a 64-bit processor) as there are times when it seems like it gets bogged down. It's been a reliable business machine and still runs most of the software reasonably quickly. Since this machine is never turned off, unless I lose power and my UPS runs out, that's probably understandable. The only unexpected failure has been the power supply. I've replaced the hard drive a couple of times, just not due to failure. ![]()
